Mixed Breed · Unknown

Last night, I didn't understand when he took the bag and put me inside, like an unwanted package... Then he headed towards the shelter, he had vainly looked for the hours and had chosen that day. It must be said that they are also stupid, Saturday is the only day they have published opening hours. He waited until closing time and dropped me off under the bell and the "canine shelter" sign, then left without looking back... I was cold, I was scared... I heard noises, dogs barking, they understood that something abnormal and inhumane was happening. It was dark, I could only see the car headlights passing, I was afraid one of them would crush me in my black bag. Then, I heard noise, the gate opened, they were leaving... and they saw me... naively, as always, they thought it was the generosity of a human who had kindly left a bag... and they understood... Shivering from the cold in my small bag, they quickly put me by the heat. I was frozen... What did I do to deserve being thrown like a common package in front of a shelter's door? I was born with private individuals, you know those who find spaying/neutering useless, those who then post ads and give away unidentifiable puppies to anyone. I was a cute puppy, then I grew up, and I should have been sterilized too, identified, vaccinated... but he didn't want to spend anything! So the simplest solution was to throw me away... in front of a shelter's gates so I wouldn't find my way back. Why call? Why ring the bell? They are there for that, aren't they? Canine shelter or not, it doesn't matter, and if you love animals, you don't count, one more, one less, you find a solution! Today, I just want to thank the volunteers who take care of me and cuddle me, I'm still stressed and very sad. Fortunately, they were still at the shelter, otherwise who would have found me?

How do I contact the shelter about Je suis jeune et gentil, mais cela n’a pas suffi…?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animaux sans Foyer handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Je suis jeune et gentil, mais cela n’a pas suffi… on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Je suis jeune et gentil, mais cela n’a pas suffi… if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animaux sans Foyer will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Je suis jeune et gentil, mais cela n’a pas suffi… already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Je suis jeune et gentil, mais cela n’a pas suffi… isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animaux sans Foyer early rather than rehoming privately; they know Je suis jeune et gentil, mais cela n’a pas suffi… and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
