Elton is a dog with low energy levels who has never known the world beyond a shelter kennel. He is not aggressive - instead, he is fearful, uncertain, and has a great need for peace. He is a dog that requires a very patient and aware person who understands how to work with an anxious dog. Elton will not open up right away, and may not be ready for close contact for a long time. He is a dog that needs time, consistency, gentleness, and... presence. Someone who will not force anything, but will be there - until Elton takes the first step himself. And the second. And the third. We are looking for an experienced caregiver who does not expect a dog ready to cuddle, but is aware that Elton needs above all a sense of security. This is a dog that does not walk on a leash - the very act of putting it on is difficult for him. In the kennel, he maintains distance, but eats treats and wags his tail, showing that he wants to interact - just very, very carefully.

Trafił do nas z innego schroniska i od początku wiadomo było jedno – życie nie dało mu łatwego startu. Elton to pies z niskim poziomem energii, który wciąż nie zna świata poza schroniskowym kojcem. Nie ma w nim agresji – jest za to lęk, niepewność i ogromna potrzeba spokoju. Dla osoby bardzo cierpliwej i świadomej, jak wygląda praca z psem lękowym. Elton nie otworzy się od razu, a może nawet przez długi czas nie będzie gotów na bliski kontakt. To pies, który potrzebuje czasu, regularności, delikatności i... obecności. Kogoś, kto nie będzie niczego wymuszał, ale będzie obok – aż Elton sam zrobi pierwszy krok. I drugi. I trzeci. Szukamy doświadczonego opiekuna, który nie oczekuje gotowego psa do przytulania, tylko ma świadomość, że Elton potrzebuje przede wszystkim poczucia bezpieczeństwa. To psiak, który nie chodzi na smyczy – sam moment jej zakładania jest dla niego trudny. W kojcu utrzymuje dystans, ale zjada smaczki i merda ogonem, co pokazuje, że jest w nim chęć do kontaktu – po prostu bardzo, bardzo ostrożna.
