Elvis

Male · Puppy · 10 months

Elvis is a typical spaniel who is always full of energy and rearing to go. Elvis would love an active home that can socialise him and take him on lots of adventures so he can keep busy and active. Elvis will need someone who is able to provide enrichment and mental stimulation in between walks to keep his brain active and engaged. Due to his breed, Elvis does have a high prey drive therefore can get very distracted on walks and pull on the lead. He would benefit from some basic training so he can learn good manners. Elvis would benefit from a home with an enclosed garden so he can have space to zoom around and play with his toys. Elvis is a friendly boy who loves everyone he meets, due to this we believe that Elvis can be rehomed with dog savy children who are over 10 years old – subject to a successful meet. Evlis can be a little barky around other dogs but has interreacted well whilst in our care. We believe that Elvis can be rehomed with another dog of a similar size and that has high energy levels that match Elvis – subject to a successful meet.

About Elvis

What life with Elvis looks like

Elvis is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home (Cheshire) in Warrington.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Elvis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Elvis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home (Cheshire) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Elvis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Elvis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home (Cheshire) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Elvis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Elvis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home (Cheshire) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Elvis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
