Elżunia is about 15 years old and at this stage of life has lost everything that was her world. Home, scents, rituals, sense of security. She came to the animal shelter as an older female dog who suddenly has to find her way in a reality completely foreign to her. The beginning was very difficult for her. She was mistrustful, withdrawn, staying on the sidelines. It's a dog that in stress doesn't seek contact, but tries to become invisible. As if she didn't want to bother anyone. However, over time she began to open up. Today she more willingly accepts petting, allows herself to be touched, goes on walks. She still has a bit of uncertainty, especially when putting on a leash, but she is making progress and learning that a person can be support, not a threat. Elżunia is a very calm, gentle and non-confrontational female dog. She lives in a kennel with other dogs and gets along well with them. She doesn't initiate any conflicts, doesn't compete for resources, doesn't get in anyone's way. She is quiet, delicate and extremely subtle in her behavior. It's a female dog that isn't pushy. She doesn't demand attention. But when she does trust, she can take great joy from simple things - a quiet walk, the presence of a person, a gentle touch. Due to her age and experiences, we are looking for a calm, patient and understanding home for her. One that will give her time to adapt and allow her to regain a sense of security at her own pace. Ideally, she would thrive in a quiet environment, without too many stimuli. Elżunia deserves to spend the final stage of her life at home, not in the animal shelter. Close proximity instead of loneliness. We are looking for a home for her that will be forever.

Elżunia ma około 15 lat i właśnie na tym etapie życia straciła wszystko, co było jej światem. Dom, zapachy, rytuały, poczucie bezpieczeństwa. Trafiła do schroniska jako starsza sunia, która nagle musi odnaleźć się w rzeczywistości zupełnie dla niej obcej. Początki były dla niej bardzo trudne. Była nieufna, wycofana, trzymała się na uboczu. To typ psa, który w stresie nie szuka kontaktu, tylko próbuje stać się niewidzialny. Tak jakby chciała nikomu nie przeszkadzać. Z czasem jednak zaczęła się otwierać. Dziś coraz chętniej przyjmuje głaskanie, pozwala się dotknąć, wychodzi na spacery. Nadal ma w sobie odrobinę niepewności, szczególnie przy zakładaniu szelek, ale robi postępy i uczy się, że człowiek może być wsparciem, a nie zagrożeniem. Elżunia to bardzo spokojna, łagodna i bezkonfliktowa sunia. Mieszka w salce z innymi psami i doskonale się z nimi dogaduje. Nie inicjuje żadnych spięć, nie rywalizuje o zasoby, nie wchodzi nikomu w drogę. Jest cicha, delikatna i niezwykle subtelna w swoim zachowaniu. To sunia, która nie jest nachalna. Nie domaga się uwagi. Ale kiedy już zaufa, potrafi czerpać ogromną radość z prostych rzeczy — spokojnego spaceru, obecności człowieka, czułego dotyku. Ze względu na wiek i przeżycia szukamy dla niej domu spokojnego, cierpliwego i wyrozumiałego. Takiego, który da jej czas na adaptację i pozwoli odzyskać poczucie bezpieczeństwa we własnym tempie. Najlepiej odnajdzie się w cichym otoczeniu, bez nadmiaru bodźców. Elżunia zasługuje na to, by ostatni etap życia spędzić w domu, a nie w schronisku. Na bliskość zamiast samotności. Szukamy dla niej domu, który będzie już na zawsze.
