Emi sollte beim Tierarzt eingeschläfert werden, weil ihre Besitzer sie nicht mehr wollten. Der Tierarzt stimmte dem natürlich nicht zu, da es keinen medizinischen Grund gab – stattdessen kontaktierte er unsere Rettungsstation und bat uns die Mischlingsdame aufzunehmen, was wir auch taten. Emi ist leider stark übergewichtig (Idealgewicht ca. 9kg) & muss dringend schrittweise abnehmen. Vermutlich wurde sie in ihrem alten Zuhause nicht wirklich körperlich ausgelastet. Das muss sich nun ändern, damit Emi wieder fit wird. Die Mischlingsomi ist vermutlich ein Spanielmix. Sie brauchte ein paar Tage, bis sie sich an unsere Teammitglieder und das neue Umfeld gewöhnt hatte. Nun zeigt sie sich wirklich interessiert und freut sich über die Aufmerksamkeit, besonders in Form von Leckerlis, von Menschen. Wir denken, dass sie beim Umzug in ihr neues Zuhause etwas Zeit brauchen wird, um Vertrauen zu fassen. Wir wünschen uns deshalb Menschen, die geduldig mit ihr sind und ihr Zeit geben, um anzukommen. Ist Emi einmal angekommen zeigt sich, dass in ihr manchmal ein kleiner Clown steckt. Die hübsche Hündin ist noch längst nicht vom alten Eisen und würde sich im neuen Zuhause sicherlich über gemütliche, abwechslungsreiche Spaziergänge freuen. Mit Futter lässt sie sich problemlos motivieren, weshalb es eventuell auch gut wäre, wenn sie sich ihr Futter erarbeitet. Allerdings hütet sie gelegentlich auch ihr Futter, woran im neuen Zuhause definitiv gearbeitet werden sollte. Ebenso hat sie auch gelernt, dass sie, wenn sie etwas nicht möchte, mit Schnappen in Ruhe gelassen wird. Mit anderen Hunden kommt sie zurecht, braucht aber keinen anderen Hund um glücklich zu sein. Kinder sollten mind. im Teenageralter und eher ruhig sein und Hundeerfahrung mitbringen. Ein Zuhause auf dem Land oder am Stadtrand wäre ideal. Genauso wie ein Zuhause, wo sie keine Treppen steigen muss, da dies sehr belastend für ihre Gelenke, vor allem mit ihrem derzeitigen Gewicht, wäre.
