Adopt Emil … muss Geduld beweisen

Male · Young · 1 year

Name of the Animal: Emil Serial Number: 305_F_25 Reason for Admission: Found Animal Admitted to the shelter since: 09.11.2025 Breed: Terrier-Mix Gender: male, neutered Color/Coat Length: white with black spots Date of Birth: 01.05.2021 Shoulder height/Weight: Found location/Reason for surrender: Found Animal Description: In March 2026, Emil had already come to us in November 2025. After a collision with a car, he had a broken leg that required immediate surgery. Following the complex operation, plates and screws were to be removed after about six weeks, but unfortunately, the healing process is not proceeding as expected. Following the motto "Good things take time," the bone is healing very slowly. With increasing duration, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep the active and energetic Emil as calm as possible. The latest X-ray showed that we are on the right path, so we now also want to introduce Emil. The 5-year-old Terrier-mixed breed is a model patient – at the vet … not when it comes to patience – and is friendly to us. At the same time, he cannot hide his self-assurance and pronounced will. Emil needs dog-experienced people who want and can set a consistent behavioral framework. Due to the long and still ongoing healing process, we have not been able to work much with Emil, but his construction sites are clear: his impulse control – which is not surprising for a Terrier – is very in need of development, and in social behavior, he – in "school German" – has a deficit. Although we of course cannot test him directly with other dogs, it is very clear that he is the type who, at night in the park, you would not want to encounter. For Emil, we are looking for people who can promote his good sides and control his bad sides. Spontaneous visits are unfortunately not possible. For inquiries about Emil, the coordinating colleagues are available for telephone consultations from Monday to Friday from 14 – 17 hours and on Saturday from 13 – 16 hours.

Frequently asked

Adopting Emil … muss Geduld beweisen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Emil … muss Geduld beweisen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Moers handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Emil … muss Geduld beweisen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Emil … muss Geduld beweisen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Moers will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Emil … muss Geduld beweisen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Emil … muss Geduld beweisen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Moers early rather than rehoming privately; they know Emil … muss Geduld beweisen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
