Enzie

Female · Adult · 6 years

Age: 6 years (*October 1, 2019) Weight: 35 kg (spayed) Enžie is a large, dark-colored female dog who might not catch everyone’s eye at first glance—but that’s precisely what makes her heart all the more special. She’s calm, kind, and easygoing, and above all, she longs for one thing: finally having her own person. She walks beautifully on a leash, doesn’t pull, and enjoys outings at a relaxed pace. She’s no wild creature—she’s the perfect companion for someone looking for peace, comfort, and a quiet canine presence by their side. In our kennel, she doesn’t destroy anything, and with regular walks, she’s quite clean. With other dogs, it’s more individual—she gets along with some, but not with others, so it’s best to give her a try. She reportedly doesn’t get along well with cats. She does have a few health limitations—she takes medication for her bladder, so occasionally there might be a little accident, and her hind legs and spine aren’t as strong as they once were. So she’s not the type of dog for active sports, but all the more reason why she’ll appreciate gentle walks, a soft bed, and lots of love. She can get along with children, though preferably older ones who will respect her space and calm nature. Enžie knows she probably won’t be anyone’s first choice—but maybe it’s precisely you who’ll see in her what others overlook. She’ll repay you with devotion, tranquility, and gratitude like only a dog waiting patiently for her chance can. Please give Enžie a home. 🐾 If Enžie has caught your attention, we kindly ask that you fill out our adoption questionnaire, and we’ll get back to you shortly.

🐾 Pokud vás Enžie zaujala, prosíme o vyplnění adopčního dotazníku a my vás budeme zpětně kontaktovat.

About Enzie

What life with Enzie looks like

Enzie is a large adult dog waiting at Útulek Dogsy in Czech Republic.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Enzie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Enzie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Útulek Dogsy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Enzie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Enzie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Útulek Dogsy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Enzie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Enzie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Útulek Dogsy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Enzie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
