ENZO

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Meet ENZO Enzo was found near the Melanes Kouros in April 2026 and we believe he is about 6 years old. He was found in in extremely poor condition. He was painfully thin and suffering from kidney problems and stomatitis, but this brave boy fought his way back to health. Despite everything he has been through, Enzo is an absolute sweetheart. He has a wonderfully gentle nature, loves cuddles and affection, and is very sociable with other cats. Because of his kidney condition, Enzo needs to remain on a special renal diet. He has not yet been vaccinated, although a rabies vaccination may be possible if a suitable indoor home is found for him. Enzo would love a safe, caring indoor home where he can finally enjoy the comfort and affection he deserves. Until that special home comes along, you can help us care for him through virtual adoption, contributing towards his special food, veterinary care and ongoing needs. About ENZO

What life with ENZO looks like

ENZO is an adult mixed breed cat waiting at Naxos Animal Welfare Society (NAWS) in Naxos.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting ENZO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ENZO?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Naxos Animal Welfare Society (NAWS) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ENZO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ENZO if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Naxos Animal Welfare Society (NAWS) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is ENZO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ENZO isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Naxos Animal Welfare Society (NAWS) early rather than rehoming privately; they know ENZO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
