Eperke

Female · Puppy · 4 months

Eperke, a happy puppy, is looking for her forever home. Eperke and her friend Samu were heartlessly abandoned near a forest edge and left to fend for themselves. Kind animal lovers discovered the two and informed our Hungarian partner animal shelter. Now the young female dog is waiting for the chance to find a real home quickly. Eperke behaves like a typical puppy: she is super affectionate, absolutely friendly, playful, and jumps with joy as soon as she sees someone. She is curious and open-minded, and adapts quickly to any new situation. Of the two abandoned dogs, Eperke is the more outgoing, playful, and active. Due to her uncomplicated nature, she is highly recommended for inexperienced dog owners. She is already practicing walking on a leash. Because of her lively and loving nature, she can also be placed with steadfast young children. The beautiful dog is, of course, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, examined by a veterinarian, and has an EU pet passport. She will only be placed in loving hands with a contract. The handover could take place in Berlin or alternatively in the Stuttgart area, provided someone falls in love with her and gives her a forever home. For this dream dog, a new home or possibly a foster home (foster home only Berlin/suburbs) is now being sought, provided she has not found a home by the next transport. As always, we would like to point out that a dog from foreign animal protection needs time, patience, and a loving arrival. New impressions, new routines, and new bonds should be able to grow in peace. Anyone willing to go this way together will be rewarded with a very special connection. If you are interested in adoption or for further information, please send us a message or call us.

About Eperke

What life with Eperke looks like

Eperke is a puppy/kitten dog waiting at animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen in Ketzin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eperke, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eperke?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eperke on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eperke if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eperke already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eperke isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eperke and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
