Eros

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Eros came to us from our Search & Rescue team efforts, he had to be caught with a trap, as he was so shy and scared at first. It took a few days after Eros arrived to us, before he had any courage to even look outside a window.... But luckily his neighbour is Robin, and Robin's happiness is contagious - Robin kept kissing Eros and inviting him out to play, until Eros realised that he is safe in the shelter among his canine friends and human caretakers. Once shy & scared, now Eros is wiggly and cheerful when you come into their room to take him and his best friend Robin out for walks. He loves other dogs, and in their company he becomes a cheerful, care-free boy, full of joy, ready to run and play. Eros is definitely looking for a home experienced with potentially scared & shy dogs, and he also for sure wants to join a home with at least 1 or more dogs already waiting for him. Eros feels the safest in the environment that he is familiar with, and he is dreaming of a home near the nature, where his days would be filled with time in the garden with his dog friends, mealtimes all together, patient & caressing hands of his humans. Being a sensitive boy, he would not wish to live in a busy environment. Eros does like children too, he likes all humans, as long as they initially give him time and space to adjust and arrive. His shoulder height is approximately 43cm.

About Eros

What life with Eros looks like

Eros is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eros, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eros?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eros on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eros if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eros already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eros isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eros and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
