Eva-2

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

Herkunftsland: Spain Eva is a very special female dog who above all wants to be very close to her people. She loves attention, cuddles, and quality time over everything. With people, she is incredibly affectionate and clingy; she would rather cuddle and receive affection all day long. Even a nap in her people’s lap or lying cozily beside them is one of her favorite activities. Eva enjoys walks very much and walks nicely on a leash. At first, she can be a bit excited when leaving the kennel, especially if she passes by other kennels, because she is so looking forward to the walk. Once she is outside, however, she walks very well, listens attentively, and shows how clever and eager to learn she is. Many of our volunteer helpers describe her as very intelligent, attentive, and pleasant to handle. On warm days, she also likes to splash around in the dog pool. With other animals, Eva is selective. She used to live together with another female dog named Sassy. We were told that she was her sister. Whether that is true, we cannot say for sure, as we both came from an animal shelter that was closed by the authorities. The two definitely did not have a pleasant past. After Sassy moved into her new home, Eva was left alone. At the animal shelter, it shows that she does not always get along well with other dogs. Therefore, we are looking for a home for her as a single dog, where she can enjoy the full attention of her people. On walks, she does not show aggression towards other dogs. With very dog-experienced people and a suitable, calm dog, cohabitation might be possible – but we cannot guarantee that. Eva would likely be happiest as a single dog. Eva is an incredibly loving, loyal, and cuddly companion who wishes nothing more than to have her own family where she can receive lots of love. She is embraced by all who meet her.

About Eva-2

What life with Eva-2 looks like

Eva-2 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eva-2, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eva-2?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eva-2 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eva-2 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eva-2 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eva-2 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eva-2 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
