adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! Falafel did not have an easy start in life. Together with his sister, he was simply abandoned and left to fend for himself. Fortunately, the two were found in time and brought to safety. Despite this difficult beginning, Falafel has maintained his friendly and cheerful nature and shows every day how much joy he has inside. The little puppy meets people openly and affectionately and explores his surroundings with great curiosity. He is playful, active, and enjoys attention very much. At the same time, he brings a loving nature with him that makes him quickly endearing. He also gets along well with other dogs; cats have not yet been tested. Visually, Falafel is a particularly sweet little puppy with smooth fur. His four white paws make him unmistakable and give him a special charm. With his loving gaze and cheerful demeanor, he quickly wins every heart. His new family should be aware that Falafel has not yet experienced life in a loving family. As a young puppy, he still needs to learn the entire dog ABC and gradually get used to everything. Leash training, house training, and being left alone are still completely new to him. Puberty also lies ahead, in which he will test boundaries and perhaps "forget" what he has learned. Falafel needs people who meet him with much love, patience, and understanding, give him security, and gently introduce him to everyday life. With clear structures, positive reinforcement, and enough time, he will develop into a wonderful and faithful companion. A positively working dog training class can be a valuable support and help to strengthen the bond. Falafel is a lively little puppy ready to explore the world with his people and finally learn the beautiful sides of life. After a successful Falafel travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, and with an EU pet passport to his new home. Who gives this special little puppy the chance at a loving and safe life? Many thanks to Hannah. You gave Falafel a name and thus the chance at a new life. Date: 18.05.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Hannah.

About Falafel

What life with Falafel looks like

Falafel is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Falafel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Falafel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Falafel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Falafel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Falafel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Falafel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Falafel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
