Fauna

Female · Adult · 5 years

Fauna is a tiny, wonderful and extremely sweet female dog who loves humans with all her heart. She is happiest when she can be close by - accompanying, observing and sharing everyday life with her caregiver. She came to the animal shelter together with her little sister. Two small beings who should experience the world with a sense of safety, rather than waiting for their own home. Fauna loves attention and human contact. Every glance and kind word brings her joy. She is delicate, sensitive and very loyal - she quickly becomes attached to her caregiver and builds a special bond with him. We are looking for a home full of warmth and care for her, where she will be treated as a family member. Someone who will appreciate her sensitivity and big heart in a small body. If you feel that you are the one who can give Faunie a safe, loving home - get in touch and get to know her better. She really deserves her happiness.

PL·Show original

Fauna uwielbia uwagę i kontakt z człowiekiem. Każde spojrzenie i dobre słowo wywołuje u niej radość. Jest delikatna, czuła i bardzo oddana – szybko przywiązuje się do swojego opiekuna i buduje z nim wyjątkową więź. Szukamy dla niej domu pełnego ciepła i troski, w którym będzie traktowana jak członek rodziny. Kogoś, kto doceni jej wrażliwość i wielkie serce zamknięte w maleńkim ciałku. Jeśli czujesz, że to właśnie Ty możesz podarować Faunie bezpieczny, kochający dom – odezwij się i poznaj ją bliżej. Ona naprawdę zasługuje na swoje szczęście.

About Fauna

What life with Fauna looks like

Fauna is a small adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fauna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fauna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fauna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fauna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fauna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fauna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fauna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
