Adopt Febe

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

EMERGENCY Name: Febe. Breed: Mixed. Age: born 04/2020. Gender: Female. Size: medium to large. Spayed: yes. Location / Country: Bosnia Description Febe – from street pup to proud female dog Febe was found on the streets of Bosnia by an animal rescuer when she was about four months old. She took care of her for a while, fed her regularly, and watched her grow. However, she soon realized that life on the streets would mean certain death for Febe. For this reason, she brought her to an animal boarding facility in Bosnia. Upon arrival, Febe quickly recovered from her life on the streets and even started to become a little possessive... Febe is ready for a new life in a wonderful, loving, and protective home with people who should ideally have her all to themselves. Febe is a kind-hearted, cheerful, and playful female dog. She is affectionate and clingy, as well as extremely cuddly! She gets along very well with other animals of both genders. Living together with other animals is absolutely feasible, although the other dogs should not be too pushy. This, like cats, she does not like. However, Febe has not had much opportunity to learn basic dog skills and will need some catch-up training – especially when it comes to walking on a leash... But Febe will learn quickly and adapt. Febe has a strong desire to please and deserves so much more of a happy dog life! We know that she will thank you with loyalty and love! Cat-friendly: No. Compatible with other animals: with male dogs, with female dogs Contact person: Frau Christine Sander Email: « Alvin (with Antonietta) Toy (from Olivia) ». Gets along with other dogs. This is a puppy.

NOTFALL Name: Febe. Rasse: MixAlter: geboren 04/2020.

About Febe

What life with Febe looks like

Febe is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Adozioni del cuore e.V. in Wedel.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Febe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Febe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adozioni del cuore e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Febe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Febe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adozioni del cuore e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Febe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Febe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adozioni del cuore e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Febe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
