Fee

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Looking for a home for the wonderful Fee Fee, who is just under a year old and has recently been living in our Bulgarian partner animal shelter. The young dog hopes to find his people soon and be able to travel to a loving home or a foster care place. Fee shows himself as a very friendly, social, and open-minded dog. He gets along well with people and other dogs. He especially loves to play, enjoys attention, and loves to run across the meadows. Fee does not yet know family life. Many things that are obvious for other dogs, he still needs to learn. These include housebreaking, walking on a leash, being alone, or everyday environmental stimuli. Therefore, we are looking for people with patience, understanding, and empathy who will give him the time to settle in calmly and gradually learn everything new. Fee is a smart and eager-to-learn young dog who will certainly learn quickly with the right guidance and loving consistency. He wishes for people who give him clear structures, mentally and physically challenge him, and of course have enough time for cuddle and close moments. We are sure that Fee will grow into a loyal and wonderful companion with the right people by his side. Who would like to give Fee the chance for a new life? Adopting a rescue dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also be a challenge. The dogs come with a backpack of past experiences or situations they haven't learned, and they need time to adjust to their new life. If you have sincere interest in adopting Fee, please contact the responsible adoption officer of SALVA Dog Aid. We would also be very happy about the provision of a foster care place. Here is Fee's video.

About Fee

What life with Fee looks like

Fee is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fee, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fee?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fee on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fee if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fee already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fee isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fee and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
