Feliczita

Female · Senior · 20 years

FELICZITA - A cat found on Malików Street. Uses a litter box. When adopting a kitten, keep in mind that contrary to popular belief, raising such a young animal is not at all easy. We do not recommend adopting kittens to homes with young children. Kittens are still learning how strong their claws and teeth can be, which often results in scratches and cuts. This is the most common reason for returns from adoption. In the case of such young animals, you must be prepared to teach everything from scratch. Kittens are extremely energetic and can destroy furniture, curtains, etc. Remember that a cat can live up to 20 years, so when adopting a kitten, you must be prepared to be responsible for it for a very long time. Kittens usually instinctively use a litter box, but remember that there may be cases when you need to work on litter training. Remember that kittens are at the highest risk group due to lack of full vaccinations - they can get sick, the disease may initially be asymptomatic. ul. About Feliczita

What life with Feliczita looks like

Feliczita is a senior cat waiting at Schronisko Kielce in Kielce.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Feliczita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Feliczita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kielce handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Feliczita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Feliczita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kielce will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Feliczita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Feliczita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kielce early rather than rehoming privately; they know Feliczita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
