Ferdinand has so far had to fight his way through life alone on the streets. That life has left its marks: when he arrived with us, his left front leg unfortunately had to be amputated, as he had a severe injury there. He gets along well on three legs, but because of this he can no longer be kept as a free-roaming cat. For him, secure outdoor access would be ideal, as he definitely needs his freedom. At the moment he finds people rather scary, but we see real potential for Ferdinand to open up to the right two-legged companions in time. Depending on the animal and its size, monthly costs range from 30 to 120 euros, plus bowls, beds, leashes or a scratching post. Vaccinations, deworming and preventive care are predictable costs. Surgery or dental treatment is not. For dogs, dog tax and liability insurance are added. Both are mandatory, and both are manageable, but they should be planned for. Write us an email or call us at . Ferdinand hat sich bisher allein auf der Straße durchs Leben gekämpft. Dieses Leben hinterließ seine Spuren: Als er bei uns ankam musste ihm leider sein linkes Vorderbein amputiert werden, da er dort eine schwere Verletzung hatte. Auf drei Beinen kommt er gut zurecht, jedoch kann er dadurch nicht mehr als Freigänger gehalten werden. Für ihn wäre ein gesicherter Freigang optimal, denn er braucht definitiv seinen Freiraum. Menschen findet er momentan eher gruselig, aber wir sehen durchaus Potential, dass Ferdinand bei den richtigen Zweibeinern noch auftaut. Je nach Tier und Größe kommen monatlich zwischen 30 und 120 Euro zusammen — dazu Näpfe, Körbchen, Leinen oder ein Kratzbaum. Impfungen, Wurmkuren und Prophylaxe sind planbar. Eine Operation oder eine Zahnbehandlung ist es nicht. Für Hunde kommen Hundesteuer und Haftpflichtversicherung dazu. Beides ist Pflicht, beides ist überschaubar — aber es sollte eingeplant sein.
