Lena came to us at the animal shelter as a found animal. Until now, she has had to fend for herself on the street, so she is understandably fearful of humans. With us, however, she does not lash out when approached; instead, she tends to try to avoid contact. Lena needs people who have experience with cats, and she absolutely needs outdoor access. Depending on the animal and its size, the monthly costs come to between 30 and 120 euros, plus bowls, beds, leashes, or a scratching post. Vaccinations, deworming, and preventive care are predictable expenses. Surgery or dental treatment is not part of that. For dogs, dog tax and liability insurance are added. Lena kam als Fundtier zu uns ins Tierheim. Lena hat sich bisher alleine auf der Straße durchs Leben geschlagen. Entsprechend ängstlich zeigt sie sich gegenüber uns Menschen. Bei uns geht sie jedoch nicht auf Angriff, wenn man sich ihr nähert, sondern versucht eher, dem Kontakt auszuweichen. Lena braucht katzenerfahrene Menschen und unbedingt Freigang. Je nach Tier und Größe kommen monatlich zwischen 30 und 120 Euro zusammen — dazu Näpfe, Körbchen, Leinen oder ein Kratzbaum. Impfungen, Wurmkuren und Prophylaxe sind planbar. Eine Operation oder eine Zahnbehandlung ist es nicht. Für Hunde kommen Hundesteuer und Haftpflichtversicherung dazu. Beides ist Pflicht, beides ist überschaubar — aber es sollte eingeplant sein.
