adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Fidschi has found a home directly! Her story: Fidschi is about two months old and was taken from a Roma neighborhood by dog catchers along with her 8 siblings, all of whom were very scared and dirty. The siblings are now in safety and receiving medical care. Now, like her siblings, the little one is looking for a home. Fidschi with her white and black snout is a real looker. With her sweet and goofy expression, the little mouse melts all hearts. Since her start in life was far from pleasant, Fidschi needs some time to build trust in people. Once that happens, she becomes a magical companion and even on gray days can make the sun shine. But a magical nature doesn't bring anything if Fidschi is sitting in an animal shelter. That's why Fidschi wishes more than anything to find a home with you. For Fidschi, we are looking for people who can patiently teach her the puppy ABCs. She is still very young and has a lot to learn, so occasional mishaps can happen. But we shouldn't hold that against her and should always guide the little one with a positive training style. Fidschi already dreams of a new life with you, going for walks, cuddling, and attending puppy school where she can learn with you and other dogs. She travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to her new home. Fidschi will be ready for a foster home for the little doggie lady as well. Can Fidschi also give you sun on gray days? Many thanks, Alexandra! Your nametag was the start of a new life! As of: 29.04.

Stand: 29.04.2024

About Fidschi

What life with Fidschi looks like

Fidschi is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fidschi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fidschi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fidschi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fidschi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fidschi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fidschi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fidschi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
