Meet Fientje, a little 9-year-old lady. She's a Chihuahua mix, but with her slightly larger size, she's a bit more of a companion than you might expect from a typical Chihuahua. Fientje came to us with her loyal friend Flappie. They know each other inside and out, so we would love to find them a new home together. Fientje is quite nervous in new situations and prefers to take a moment to observe. But behind that uncertainty is a good girl who needs some peace, patience, and familiar faces. Fientje has also been checked out by our vet. For her age, she's doing well, but there are a few things her future owners should be aware of. She has tartar and some mild arthritis in her hips. Her heart was checked and there were no abnormal sounds. We think it's important for future owners to know about this. Adopting a senior means being willing to continue monitoring her health. But Fientje is so much more than her medical file. She's a small, sensitive lady who, after nine years, is looking for security, familiar people, and a place where she can just be a dog again. And best of all? With her trusted Flappie by her side. Who has room in their home and heart for these two friends and gives them a beautiful new start together?

Maak kennis met Fientje, een klein dametje van 9 jaar. Ze is een kruising Chihuahua, al is ze met haar iets grotere formaat net een maatje meer dan je misschien van een typische Chihuahua verwacht. Fientje kwam samen met haar trouwe maatje Flappie bij ons terecht. Ze kennen elkaar door en door en daarom zouden we het ontzettend fijn vinden als we voor hen samen een nieuwe thuis kunnen vinden. Fientje is bij nieuwe situaties behoorlijk zenuwachtig en kijkt liever eerst even de kat uit de boom. Maar achter die onzekerheid zit een braaf dametje dat vooral nood heeft aan wat rust, geduld en vertrouwde gezichten. Ook medisch werd Fientje ondertussen nagekeken door onze dierenarts. Voor haar leeftijd doet ze het zeker niet slecht, maar er zijn enkele aandachtspuntjes waar haar toekomstige baasjes rekening mee moeten houden. Ze heeft tandsteen en wat lichte artrose ter hoogte van haar achterste heup. Haar hart werd nagekeken en daarbij werden geen afwijkende geluiden gehoord. We vinden het belangrijk dat toekomstige baasjes hiervan op de hoogte zijn. Een senior adopteren betekent tenslotte ook bereid zijn om haar gezondheid verder goed te laten opvolgen. Maar Fientje is natuurlijk zoveel meer dan haar medisch dossier. Ze is een klein, gevoelig dametje dat na negen jaar opnieuw op zoek moet naar zekerheid, vertrouwde mensen en een plekje waar ze gewoon weer hond mag zijn. En het allerliefst? Met haar vertrouwde Flappie aan haar zijde. Wie heeft er in huis én in het hart plaats voor deze twee maatjes en geeft hen samen een mooie nieuwe start?
