FIETE

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 10 months

Our Fiete is a 2-year-old, neutered male dog who quickly wins hearts with his charming personality. He thoroughly enjoys being close to his people and loves to be included in everything they do. Fiete generally gets along well with other dogs and can therefore also be kept as a second dog. Currently, he lives together with his buddy Paul, and their relationship works wonderfully—these two form a truly harmonious team. In larger dog groups, where there’s much more energy and excitement, however, Fiete can easily get carried away and occasionally reacts with overexcitement and even snaps. In a calm environment with a confident, unhurried dog, on the other hand, he shows himself to be very balanced and sociable. Fiete has a very strong individual personality. He’s exceptionally determined and persistent when it comes to getting his way. He’s a self-assured and clever fellow who likes to test his boundaries—a real character who needs people who approach him calmly, clearly, and consistently. In certain situations, Fiete tends to communicate his boundaries very clearly—and sometimes uses his teeth in doing so. Especially in the kennel, he’ll sometimes try to bite at hands, shoes, or calves. Even if you try to leave his area and turn your back on him, he might still follow you and snap. When under pressure or dissatisfied with a situation, he’ll also attempt to snap. For this reason, in some situations, he wears a muzzle as a precaution. This behavior shouldn’t be taken lightly and requires people who can read his body language, provide him with security, and are prepared to work with him consistently and calmly. At the Arche, we’re now working intensively on this behavior, so that future owners can build upon a solid foundation that—with the right expertise—can certainly be developed further in an excellent way. On the leash, Fiete already walks beautifully, and training is already reliably successful even in rural settings. During encounters with other dogs, though, he can sometimes become a bit of a leash-puller and reacts loudly toward his counterpart. With clear leadership and appropriate training, however, this behavior is easily manageable. Away from such situations, he shows himself to be pleasantly balanced in everyday life and quickly finds peace and quiet, making him a wonderful companion. Fiete is perfectly suited as a family dog, though children should already be older, stable, and experienced in handling dogs. Due to his self-confident and strong-willed nature, we’d like him to be with experienced people who give him loving yet consistent, clear rules and enjoy working with a smart dog who sometimes challenges his humans. Anyone looking for a loyal, cheerful, and strong-willed dog—and willing to work patiently, with understanding, and without rushing on any remaining issues—will find a wonderful companion in Fiete. A

About FIETE

What life with FIETE looks like

FIETE is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting FIETE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FIETE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FIETE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FIETE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is FIETE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FIETE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know FIETE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
