Adopt Figaro-2

Puli · Male · Young · 3 years

Origin Country: Hungary Figaro, the heartwarming boy, wandered alone through the streets of the sleepy town of Helvécia on February 6, 2026, with Godo (possibly his brother). There was no one in sight who owned the dogs. The animal shelter was informed, and the two dogs were luckily caught and brought to Menhely. The chip check came back negative. Figaro and Godo waited in vain for their people, but no one came to take them home. Now both are looking for their new families, hoping to leave the shelter soon and start a happy future. Figaro and Godo do not have to be rehomed together. Figaro is a fine fellow. Kind, friendly, open, simply a wonderful four-legged friend who brings joy and is misplaced in the animal shelter, like all dogs. Figaro enjoys every pat and human affection and would love more of it. Walking on a leash works well already, but is still in need of improvement. A little more work for Figaro, but it will definitely be fun to learn and practice with him, because he wants to please, learn, and simply be with his people. He wants to be meaningfully occupied and go on adventures with his people. His new two-leggeds should inform themselves about the great Puli breed beforehand. Figaro gets along well with his fellow animals and is currently (March 12, 2026) being integrated into a mixed pack. For our charming Figaro, we are looking for loving and adventurous people who like to be out in nature. Figaro would definitely make a great companion for jogging, hiking, cycling, or similar activities, as long as both the dog and the person have fun and a good time together. This means plenty of cuddle time, play, fun, and full family integration, and Figaro can finally live his life carefree, loved, protected, and worry-free. Who would like to enter into a great dog-human partnership with Figaro? Figaro has inguinal hernias, and castration is a bit more complicated and will be done soon. (As of March 12, 2026) Figaro can travel starting around mid/end of April 2026, if he finds a home or a foster home.

About Figaro-2

What life with Figaro-2 looks like

Figaro-2 is a young adult puli dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Figaro-2, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Figaro-2?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Figaro-2 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Figaro-2 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Figaro-2 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Figaro-2 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Figaro-2 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
