Background Through the stray cat project, Filou came to us with Feline. Personality Filou is a shy tomcat who needs time to feel safe in a new environment. At the animal shelter, he is not often seen and prefers a high and quiet spot where he feels safe. Yet we notice that he is also curious, although his insecurity still often wins over his curiosity. On quiet moments, Filou sometimes cautiously comes towards us for a cuddle. We suspect that he would also like to play, like most cats, but due to the hustle and bustle in the cattery, we currently see this very little. Filou is a kitten who mainly needs rest, patience and understanding. When he has built up trust, we believe that a very nice bond can be formed with him. Placement For Filou we are looking for a quiet home where he can blossom at his own pace. Patience is very important for his future owners, because he will probably often want to hide in the beginning. A calm environment will help him to feel more comfortable step by step. Because Filou was previously a stray cat, we are looking for a home with a safe garden where he can later enjoy being outside. With dogs he seems to get along less well, although a small and calm dog could possibly be possible provided a very good introduction. Another cat could also be possible, as long as that cat gives him enough space and does not constantly demand his attention. Filou likes to have his own spot, but a quiet cat friend he can tolerate.

AchtergrondVia het zwerfkatten project is Filou samen Feline bij ons terecht gekomen. KarakterFilou is een schuchtere kater die tijd nodig heeft om zich veilig te voelen in een nieuwe omgeving. In het asiel laat hij zich niet vaak zien en zoekt hij graag een hoog en rustig plekje op waar hij zich veilig voelt. Toch merken we dat hij ook nieuwsgierig is, al wint zijn onzekerheid voorlopig nog vaak van zijn nieuwsgierigheid.Op rustige momenten komt Filou wel eens voorzichtig naar ons toe voor een knuffeltje. We vermoeden dat hij ook graag speelt, zoals de meeste katten, maar door de drukte in het asielleven zien we dit momenteel nog weinig.Filou is een katje dat vooral nood heeft aan rust, geduld en begrip. Wanneer hij eenmaal vertrouwen heeft opgebouwd, geloven we dat er een heel mooie band met hem kan ontstaan.PlaatsingVoor Filou zoeken we een rustige thuis waar hij op zijn eigen tempo kan openbloeien. Geduld is voor zijn toekomstige baasjes erg belangrijk, want hij zal zich in het begin waarschijnlijk vaak willen verstoppen. Een kalme omgeving zal hem helpen om zich stap voor stap meer op zijn gemak te voelen.Omdat Filou vroeger een zwerfkat was, zoeken we voor hem een thuis met een veilige tuin waar hij later ook buiten kan genieten.Met honden lijkt hij minder goed overweg te kunnen, al zou een klein en rustig hondje eventueel mogelijk zijn mits een zeer goede introductie. Een andere kat kan ook, zolang die hem voldoende ruimte geeft en niet voortdurend zijn aandacht opeist. Filou houdt ervan om zijn eigen plekje te hebben, maar een rustige kattenvriend kan hij wel verdragen.Enkel in België
