Wieli has been with us for quite some time, has gone through a lot, and is finally looking for a new home. The sweet furball originally came to us with some other rabbits from an official seizure. When she arrived, it turned out she was pregnant. A few days later, she had a large litter of babies. Unfortunately, none of the babies made it. As if that wasn't enough, there was also an RHD (Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease) outbreak, which she survived against all odds as the only animal in the group. We worried about the sweet mouse for a long time, but she made it through. Due to the fact that the virus can still be excreted despite surviving the disease, Wieli had to spend many weeks in quarantine to minimize the risk of infection to other rabbits. Now she's finally allowed to be with other rabbits again and lives with three other females (Capella, Askella & Alasia) and one male (Gaara) at our shelter. She quickly settled in with the group and is happy to finally have more space to run around and, most importantly, not be alone anymore. She would like to move with at least one other rabbit from her current group, but can also move alone to other rabbits. It's important, however, that the rabbits she moves to are currently vaccinated. Wieli is rather reserved around humans and prefers to observe from a safe distance. But with some calmness and patience, she will occasionally take a lettuce leaf from her familiar human's hand. Group (Askella not visible)

Wieli sitzt mittlerweile schon eine ganz schön lange Zeit bei uns, hat schon einiges durchgemacht und sucht nun endlich ein neues Zuhause. Die süße Fellnase ist ursprünglich mit einigen anderen Kaninchen aus einer amtlichen Fortnahme zu uns gekommen. Als sie bei uns angekommen ist, hat sich herausgestellt, dass sie tragend ist. Wenige Tage später hat sie auch schon einen großen Wurf Babys bekommen. Trotz aller Bemühungen hat es leider keines der Babys geschafft. Als wäre das nicht schon genug, gab es dann auch noch einen RHD (Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease) Ausbruch, den sie gegen alle Wahrscheinlichkeiten, als einziges Tier der Gruppe überlebt hat. Wir haben lange Zeit um die süße Maus gebangt, aber sie hat es geschafft. Aufgrund dessen, dass der Virus trotz überstandener Krankheit weiter ausgeschieden werden kann, musste Wieli viele Wochen allein in der Quarantäne verbringen, um die Ansteckungsgefahr für andere Kaninchen zu minimieren. Nun durfte sie endlich wieder zu Artgenossen und lebt zurzeit bei uns mit drei weiteren weiblichen Capella, Askella & Alasia) und einem männlichen Tier (Gaara) zusammen. In der Gruppe ist sie schnell gut angekommen und freut sich, endlich wieder mehr Platz zum Flitzen, sowie vor allem endlich nicht mehr allein zu sein. Sie würde gerne mit mindestens einem weiteren Kaninchen aus ihrer jetzigen Gruppe ausziehen, kann aber auch allein zu anderen Kaninchen ziehen. Wichtig ist allerdings, dass die Kaninchen, zu denen sie zieht, aktuell geimpft sind. Dem Menschen gegenüber ist Wieli eher zurückhalten und schaut sich alles lieber mit Sicherheitsabstand an. Bei ihrem bekannten Menschen nimmt sie mit etwas Ruhe und Geduld aber auch immer mal wieder gerne ein Salatblatt aus der Hand. Gruppe (Askella nicht zu sehen)
