adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Fine has found her home! Her story: The beautiful, friendly Fine is a very people-oriented and sensitive female dog, who looks directly into your heart with her brown eyes. Her fur is marked in various shades of gray and brown, and she has white markings on her paws and chest, a true sight to behold. In early June, the young female dog moved into her foster home. At first, she was a bit reserved, but with each day, she shows more of her open and friendly personality. She enjoys cuddles to the fullest and can hardly get enough of them. Her gentle nature makes her a wonderful companion. Fine is already house-trained and has learned to appreciate the soft dog beds; before, she often lay on bare ground. Sometimes she just doesn't understand everything yet and needs some more time to feel secure. Clean sounds like vacuum cleaners do not bother her, and in the house, she is very relaxed and content. The children in the household do not bother her. During walks, she sometimes shows small insecurities, stops, looks at the situation, and then continues. Leash and safety harness are no problem for Fine, as if she had been with them before. She walks obediently on the leash. She gets along well with the existing first dog in the household, but sometimes reacts cautiously when the other gets too excited. Recently, the two also play together in the garden, which further strengthens her trust. We know nothing about Fines past, where she came from, or what she experienced. What we do know is that no one wanted the beautiful female dog. Together with her puppy Bonnie, she was found homeless on the street in Baia Mare, Romania, and brought to safety. Fine deserves a loving family that will give her time, patience, and lots of love. People who earn her trust and show her that she can feel safe. Fine looks forward to people who will give her a home of her own and provide a future full of love. Fine can be microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and moved into her new home with an EU pet passport at any time. She will be transferred to a positive Da Fine unfortunately has a shortened tail, she is not allowed to enter Switzerland. For those seeking a loyal companion for a shared future? We thank the namingsponsor Elke J. for giving Fine her name and thus her own identity. As of: 16.06.

About Fine

What life with Fine looks like

Fine is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fine, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fine?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fine on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fine if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fine already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fine isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fine and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
