Fiola

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Fiola has found its own home! Her story: The little Fiola was found alone on a field, abandoned, like so many others. But fortune was on her side: A caring family took her in, and there she shows what a little sunbeam she is. Open, friendly, cheerful, and full of life, Fiola radiates from within, completely independent of her black fur. At about 33 cm and 10 kg, she is still a young, delicate female dog, just beginning to explore the world. She is friendly towards people, loves cuddles, is open to new things, and gets along well with other dogs. She also gets along well with cats and even small children. Her activity level is in the middle to higher range, she likes to play, moves a lot, and has great fun exploring her surroundings. Fiola grows up in a loving environment and is already familiar with some daily routines. However, it should be considered that she is still half a year young, and dog training needs to be reinforced. Also, puberty is approaching: During this time, rules may be questioned, and sometimes what was learned seems to have vanished. Patience, loving consequences, and a clear framework will help her grow into a confident female dog. A positively working dog training class would certainly be a good support. Fiola can travel from the end of July. She travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, and has an EU pet passport. Who can now still say that black dogs bring bad luck? Who takes Fiola in will be blessed, because she certainly brings light, life, and love. Many thanks to Valentina, who gave Fiola the chance at a new life with her great name! As of: 03.07.

Stand: 03.07.2025

About Fiola

What life with Fiola looks like

Fiola is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fiola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fiola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fiola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fiola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fiola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fiola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fiola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
