Adopt Flash

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Generalities: microchipped and vaccinated, a short-haired golden American Staffordshire Terrier with a sly look. Currently not spayed or neutered. Will be placed with judicial custody transfer. Temperament: Since his arrival at the dog shelter, he has made great progress, especially in terms of relating to people. Initially, he tended to bark at everyone to keep them away, due to distrust; then gradually he started to interact properly. Now Flash is a dog that, when well managed, can be very cooperative with his handler, enjoys shared activities from mobility dogs, small scent searches and much more. If presented well, he is also sociable with people. Accustomed to wearing a harness, on a leash he pulls a bit, probably because he needs a lot of movement. Nevertheless, manageable with a minimum of physical strength. Ideal adoption: Suitable for people who have experience with dogs and who know the breed cross and its motivations. Excellent for people who have time to dedicate to him both before the adoption placement to do an accompanying program at the dog shelter in order to get to know him well, as well as after the adoption placement to do the right physical activity he needs, maybe nice and long hikes in the mountains. We do not exclude families that already have another dog, provided it is a well-behaved female, already spayed, a character compatibility test will be required to be done at the dog shelter in the presence of an operator. Good family and living environments that are quiet. Okay both in an apartment and a house with a garden, living inside with the family and ensuring the necessary daily walks for his psychophysical well-being background:

About Flash

What life with Flash looks like

Flash is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at ENPA Monza e Brianza in Monza.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flash, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flash?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ENPA Monza e Brianza handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flash on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flash if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ENPA Monza e Brianza will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flash already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flash isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ENPA Monza e Brianza early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flash and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
