You might call me an individual, but I prefer to describe myself as one who likes to avoid the hustle and bustle. I enjoy being on my own, but I also come from a situation where there was a lot of noise and chaos, which I try to avoid. Here at the animal shelter, I can often be found in a quiet spot, snuggling in a basket outside. I love being outdoors, just like I used to in my old home. I was often found outside and was well-known and notorious in the neighborhood. I can be incredibly chatty, but that doesn't give you a free pass to give me a thorough petting. A scratch on my head is fine, but if you go too far, you'll know it 😉 Yes, I'm a handful, but I don't do it for nothing. I had never been to a vet because I seemed healthy, but my caregiver here wanted me to be checked anyway. And thankfully, it turned out I've been in pain for some time, but of course, I can't talk to explain that. With good pain relief, my caregivers have noticed a clear difference in my behavior. This is something I will continue to experience and learn to deal with positively, and of course, I will still be a cat with character 😉 I'm looking for a quiet home with someone who understands where I come from and where I could still develop further, and who will give me the time to do so. Children or other animals are not in the picture for me. A place where I can go outside is a must, even though I'm not a stray. I'm always somewhere around the house. Je kunt mij een einzelgänger noemen, maar ikzelf omschrijf het liever dat ik de drukte graag uit de weg ga. Ik ben graag op mezelf, maar kom ook wel uit een situatie waar veel drukte was en dat ontloop ik dus het liefst. Hier in het asiel ben ik ook vaak te vinden op een rustig plekje lekker soezend in een mandje in de buitenren Ik vind het heerlijk om buiten te zijn, dit deed ik ook vaak in mijn oude huis. Ik was veel buiten te vinden en bekend en berucht in de straat. Ik kan ontzettend gezellig kletsen, maar dat is geen vrijbrief om mij zo maar uitgebreid te gaan aaien. Een kriebel op mijn hoofd is ok, ga je te ver dan voel je dat vanzelf 😉 Ja ik ben een uithaler, maar dat doe ik niet voor niks. Ik was eigenlijk nooit naar een dierenarts geweest want ik oogde gewoon gezond, maar mijn verzorger hier wilde toch wel even dat ik verder onderzocht werd. En gelukkig maar, want ik blijk al een tijd pijn te hebben, maar tja ik kan natuurlijk niet praten om dat uit te leggen. In mijn knieën zit artrose en als ik dus bijvoorbeeld te hard geaaid wordt of ik denk dat je dat wil doen dan kan ik uithalen. Eigenlijk sinds ik goede pijnstilling krijg zien mijn verzorgers al een duidelijk verschil in mijn gedrag. Dit is wel iets wat ik gaandeweg moet blijven ervaren en positieve ervaring mee op moet doen en Ik blijf natuurlijk ook wel gewoon een poes met karakter 😉 Ik zoek een rustig huis bij iemand die begrijpt waar ik vandaan kom en waar ik nog naartoe zou kunnen ontwikkelen en die mij daar de tijd voor geeft. Kinderen of andere dieren zijn niet aan mij besteed. Een plekje waar ik naar buiten kan is echt een moeten, al ben ik geen struiner. Ik ben altijd wel ergens om het huis te vinden.
