adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Flinn has earned his ticket to happiness! His story: Baia Mare, Romania. Flinn is a handsome and friendly young male dog, looking for a new home with loving people who will adopt him and stay by his side forever. Do you perhaps have a warm dog bed and a place in your heart for him? Flinn is about 2 years old and has already experienced quite a bit in his short life. At first, it seemed like his life was about to take a happy turn, as Flinn was locally adopted and could already early on trade the shelter's exercise pen for a real home. But unfortunately, the beautiful dream burst, and the young male dog was returned. We do not know the reason for this, but we are sure that Flinn is not to blame, for he is a particularly friendly and patient male dog who always greets both people and other dogs with friendliness and courtesy. Therefore, he now waits in a Romanian foster home for his golden ticket. Flinn is a young male dog who with ears pricked up and friendly, strikingly bright eyes shows everyone his affectionate and lively nature. With him, plenty of life and joy will surely move into his new home. Standing at about 40 cm shoulder height, he counts as a small to medium-sized dog, and his dense fur shines in various shades of red and brown. We wish loving adopters for Flinn who will give him enough time to get used to his new living situation. They should be safe and reliable by his side, have fun with movement and shared activities, and show the handsome fellow love, affection, and sufficient training. We recommend the future adopters to work with a positively working dog training class, as patient and loving training will surely make Flinn have a lot of fun and strengthen the bond to his new family. Through regular contact with fellow animals and many positive experiences with his new people, the young male dog will surely quickly learn the 1×1 for a wonderful family dog and develop into a self-confident and reliable companion for all shared activities. Whether Flinn is already house-trained, we unfortunately cannot say for sure. After a positive start with a foster home, Flinn would be very happy to have a helping hand into a better life. We thank and warmly thank the name sponsors Bianca S. and her daughter, who gave the friendly Flinn his beautiful name. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

About Flinn

What life with Flinn looks like

Flinn is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flinn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flinn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flinn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flinn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flinn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flinn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flinn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
