Flint

Lurcher · Male · Puppy

Hi my names Flint, I am still a young lad who can find the world a bit of a scary place at times. The humans say I have been getting braver but I would still benefit from further positive reinforcement training and socialisation in a force free way to help me grow up to be a confident and well rounded adult. I do love to zoom around and play with toys so I will need a secure and private garden with 6ft fencing where I can relax in away from the outside world. I have made lots of friends here both the human and dogs but some of the other dogs say I'm a little too bouncy at times, so I could live with similar energy, well matched canine companion in my new home but due to my prey drive I can't live with cats or other small animals. I wouldn't mind sharing my new home with children 8 years and over that are used to bouncy boys like me. Can I be the one who creates the spark to light up you life? - Can live with Children 8+ that are used to bouncy dogs. - Could live with well matched dog. - Can't live with cats or other small animals. - Needs a secure and private garden with 6ft fencing.

About Flint

What life with Flint looks like

Flint is a small puppy/kitten lurcher dog waiting at RSPCA Coventry and District Branch in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flint, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flint?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Coventry and District Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flint on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flint if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Coventry and District Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flint already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flint isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Coventry and District Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flint and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
