He was previously rehomed, but in his new family, there have been multiple instances of biting. As Floh, the Jack Russell mix is now trying to start a complete new chapter. Our trainer has closely examined Floh over the past weeks, and he brings some great training topics to his new family that they want to work on together. For example, Floh hates being alone. He is house-trained, but he urinates in the house when frustrated, especially when he is alone. Additionally, work needs to be done on issues like his compatibility with other animals, accepting and following clear rules and structures, and social skills between human and dog. Floh has the habit of challenging people. If they are inconsistent and do not provide a reliable framework, his behavior immediately turns negative (socially motivated aggression, frustration, and leash aggression). A great example of Floh's frustration and leash aggression is that this does not occur in the animal shelter, where he regularly has contact with other animals and then walks calmly on the leash. Here, he shows himself to be uncomplicated and friendly - he needs these rules and consequences in his new home as well! This is crucial because otherwise, he will immediately fall back into old behavioral patterns within a short time.

Er war bereits einmal vermittelt, in seiner neuen Familie kam es jedoch mehrfach zu Beißvorfällen. Als Floh versucht der Jack-Russel-Mix jetzt einen kompletten Neuanfang. Unsere Trainerin hat sich Floh in den letzten Wochen sehr genau angeschaut und er bringt für seine neue Familie ein paar tolle Trainingsthemen mit, die gemeinsam bewältigt werden wollen. Unter anderem hasst Floh es alleine zu sein. Er ist an sich stubenrein, pinkelt aber bei Frust ins Haus, vor allem dann, wenn er alleine ist. Gearbeitet werden muss außerdem an Baustellen wie seiner Verträglichkeit mit Artgenossen, das Annehmen und Befolgen klarer Regeln und Strukturen, sowie die soziale Kompetenz zwischen Mensch und Hund. Floh hat nämlich die Angewohnheit Menschen gerne in Frage zu stellen. Sind diese inkonsequent und geben ihm keinen verlässlichen Rahmen, kippt sein Verhalten direkt ins Negative (sozial motivierte Aggression, Frust- und Leinenaggression).Ein tolles Beispiel für Flohs Frust- und Leinenaggression ist die Tatsache, das diese im Tierheim nicht auftritt, da er hier regelmäßig Kontakt zu Artgenossen hat und dann auch entsprechend entspannt an der Leine läuft. Hierbei zeigt er sich unkompliziert und umgänglich - da Regeln und Konsequenz - die braucht er auch weiterhin im neuen Zuhause! Das ist ganz wichtig, da er sonst sofort wieder innerhalb kürzester Zeit in alte Verhaltensmuster kippt.
