Floppys Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen and Vermittlungsablauf Now request this animal! Floppys Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen and Vermittlungsablauf Request this dog now! "I locked him in the cellar to die." These were the words of Floppy's former owner when Floppy was freed from his hands. His skin shows the marks of neglect and deprivation that Floppy had to endure. But every day, Floppy shows what a gentle, loving soul he is. Despite great pain, Floppy lets every treatment happen with an angelic patience. He has understood from the first moment that nothing bad will happen to him anymore and now he is safe. Floppy is only just over one year old and still has his whole life ahead of him and this should now be filled with love, security and a sense of home. Because exactly that is what Floppy so much deserved. Since the dear fellow was not allowed to experience life in a household yet, the dog ABC is still new territory for Floppy. We therefore wish understanding people who are happy to take Floppy under their wing and show him the rules for a happy coexistence. Floppy is still being treated, but it can already be seen clearly how his appearance changes and he slowly recovers. And so it also slowly becomes clear that Floppy is not only an incredibly beautiful dog inside, but also outside. For all current information, Floppys contact person will be very pleased to help you. Floppy travels neutered, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed and flea-free into his new home. He will be mediated against a deposit after a positive pre-check and of course brings along his EU pet passport. Who gives Floppy his own little bed? A loving foster family would also be incredibly valuable for Floppy. Thank you very much to you, Simon R. Thanks to you, Floppy has a real chance to live the life he deserves! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Floppy

What life with Floppy looks like

Floppy is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Floppy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Floppy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Floppy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Floppy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Floppy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Floppy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Floppy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
