Originally, he was only supposed to be neutered, but he was sick and we did not leave him to his fate. Freddy had a serious lung infection, followed by FIP. But thankfully, we can say today that he has overcome everything and is finally ready to travel to a foster home or family! We do not know what Freddy experienced before. He is no longer a tomcat who actively approaches and lets himself be petted. Our caregiver had to build trust and be patient for some time before she could even touch him. Fortunately, he cannot resist wet food and makes progress faster with that. In our cat home, he lives with many other cats and gets along well with them. However, this also means that there is always a lot going on here. Our caregivers have never seen him play. It is clear that he is in the wrong environment. Freddy needs more peace and time to get used to everything, to explore, and to find his way – the way towards courage. However, the other cats show him that people are not so bad. So he orientates himself by them, looks at one or two things, and prefers to be with cats rather than alone. We therefore do not want to place Freddy in single housing. A similar paw that accompanies him would be important. If no kitten is waiting for him, he is happy to take one of his friends with him to you 🙂 Due to his shyness, we can only place him as a pure indoor cat. He is very excited about a foster home that prepares him for family life! Or will you even be his heart's person right away? Then sign up! For his travel arrangements, he, like all our cats and tomcats, is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Freddy wurde von unseren Tierschützern auf der Straße eingefangen. Eigentlich sollte er nur kastriert werden, doch er war krank und wurde nicht wieder seinem Schicksal überlassen. Freddy hatte eine schwere Lungenentzündung, darauf folgte dann auch noch FIP. Doch glücklicherweise können wir heute sagen, dass er alles gut überstanden hat und endlich bereit ist, in eine Pflegestelle oder Familie zu reisen! Was Freddy zuvor erlebt hat, wissen wir nicht. Er ist im Moment kein Kater, der aktiv auf einen zukommt und sich streicheln lässt. Unsere Pflegerin musste einige Zeit Vertrauen aufbauen und Geduld aufbringen, damit sie ihn anfassen kann. Zum Glück kann er vor allem Nassfutter nicht widerstehen und macht damit schneller Fortschritte. In unserer Katzenwohnung lebt er mit sehr vielen anderen Katzen zusammen, mit denen er sich auch super versteht. Doch das heißt auch, dass hier immer sehr viel los ist. Unsere Pfleger haben ihn noch nie spielen sehen. Dass er im falschen Umfeld ist, ist klar. Viel mehr braucht Freddy Ruhe und Zeit, sich an alles zu gewöhnen, sich umzuschauen und seinen Weg zu gehen – der Weg Richtung Mut. Dennoch zeigen ihm die anderen Katzen, dass Menschen gar nicht so schlimm sind. So orientiert er sich an ihnen, schaut sich das ein oder andere ab und ist lieber mit Katzen, als alleine. Wir möchten Freddy daher auf keinen Fall in Einzelhaltung vermitteln. Eine gleichartige Pfote, die ihn begleitet, wäre wichtig. Sollte bei dir noch kein Kätzchen auf ihn warten, nimmt er gerne einen seiner Freunde mit zu dir 🙂 Aufgrund seiner Schüchternheit vermitteln wir ihn nur als reine Wohnungskatze. Über eine Pflegestelle, die ihn auf ein Familienleben vorbereitet, freut er sich sehr! Oder wirst du sogar direkt sein Herzensmensch? Dann melde dich! Bei seiner Ausreise ist er, wie all unsere Katzen und Kater, kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Auf FIV und FeLV wurde er bereits negativ getestet und einen EU-Heimtierausweis packt er ebenfalls ins Köfferchen. Nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr kann er in sein neues Zuhause ziehen. Auch eine Pflegestelle würde ihm sehr dabei helfen in ein neues Leben zu starten!
