Op een plek waar veel zwerfkatten worden gevonden / gevangen, woonde Freek onder een afvalcontainer. Hoe lang hij daar al woonde en wat er aan vooraf ging, weten we niet. Wat we wel weten, is dat zijn straatleven vanaf nu voorbij is. Freek is een jonge kater van ongeveer een half jaar oud. Met zijn donkere vacht en soepele tred, is het een plaatje om te zien. Nu hij wat gewend is bij ons, is hij angstig maar niet heel schuw. Met geduld, rust en wat lekkers, komt hij naar je toe en kun je hem al een beetje kroelen. Dat is alvast mooi. Hij is verder erg op zijn gemak bij andere katten. Voor hem zou het leuk zijn om bij een andere (socialere) kater te gaan wonen. Als het klikt tussen hem en zijn nieuwe vriend, kan die zijn grote broer, speelmaatje, en rolmodel worden. Qua contact met zijn mensen moet u er dus niet te veel van verwachten, zeker niet in het begin. Freek zal wat tijd nodig hebben en de inzet van zijn nieuwe baas om meer aan mensen te wennen.
