Frenki-2

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Origin Country: Hungary Frenki, the sweetie, wandered alone in the city of Lajosmizse. We don't know where he came from or why he became homeless. Since January 29, 2026, Frenki has been a resident of our shelter. He was not microchipped, was not reported missing, and the quarantine is now over. Frenki wishes to be discovered and to trade his kennel for a home of his own. Our fingers are crossed for him. In the first few minutes, Frenki is a bit shy, but he warms up quickly with cuddles and kind words, and the ice is soon broken. He is a lovely, friendly, lively, curious, funny, and nice fellow who would love to explore the world with his people. He looks forward to affection and attention, which he has a lot to make up for. Walking on a leash still needs to be developed further, as well as some basic obedience training, but he is smart and will quickly learn the missed lessons with gentle guidance. Frenki will surely be a great companion to his new person, and it will be a joy to spend time with him and teach him a few tricks. Frenki gets along well with his fellow animals and is currently (February 23, 2026) being integrated into a mixed pack. For our beloved Frenki, we hope the sun will shine as soon as possible. We are looking for loving and dog-loving people who will welcome Frenki into their family forever. He needs appropriate mental stimulation, and he wants to be challenged and supported. Of course, plenty of snuggling time should not be lacking, as well as exciting and varied walks and a visit to a dog training class. Frenki has a lot of love to give and wants to be a faithful companion to his person. Whom can Frenki give his heart to? Frenki can travel starting from mid/end of March 2026 if he finds a home or a foster home.

About Frenki-2

What life with Frenki-2 looks like

Frenki-2 is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Frenki-2, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frenki-2?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frenki-2 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frenki-2 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Frenki-2 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frenki-2 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frenki-2 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
