Frieda

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Frieda can stay forever in your foster home! Her story: 91056 Erlangen. Frieda! A gem with great potential. That's how she is described by her foster family. Frieda shows herself to be very open, cuddly, and smart. She already knows how to sit, lie down, and "show paws." Although she is still very young, she makes nothing a mess, is not intrusive or loud. Frieda loves the kids. She has no touch sensitivities with her fellow animals and is happy to be anywhere. Cats should not live in households. The foster mom always gushes when she talks about the sweet female dog. Due to her mixed-breed nature, a specific breed cannot be determined, and she will grow to be a medium-sized dog. We are looking for people who appreciate a mixed breed and can also train and guide them appropriately. In addition to good physical exercise, mental stimulation should be on the daily program. A positively reinforcing training style and a consistent, loving approach are assumed. A visit to a positively working dog training class can only be beneficial. During the first year of life, dogs should be left alone as little as possible. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is still ahead. And it affects every dog, whether small or large, male or female. The hormone chaos turns the lives of the little rascals upside down. They "forget" much of what they have learned, and their ears are on full alert. Therefore, it is especially important to train consistently but lovingly during this phase. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Frieda is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas, and is ready for her new home. She is adopted for an adoption fee of 450 Euros and only after a positive Naturally, she also brings her own EU pet passport. Frieda wants to experience adventures, make long leisurely walks, lie lazily in the sun, stuff her belly with good food, and sometimes let the child out in her. This sounds exactly like your plan for the next few years, and a dog bed or blanket is also free for you? Then you have a match 😉 with our Frieda. She waits in her foster home for her very own family.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Frieda darf für immer in ihrer Pflegestelle bleiben! Ihre Geschichte: 91056 Erlangen. Frieda!

About Frieda

What life with Frieda looks like

Frieda is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Frieda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frieda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frieda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frieda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Frieda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frieda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frieda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
