I am a very shy dog and would really like to be adopted by a kind and patient family that would teach me everything I need to learn. Date of birth: 23.11.2020 Size: medium My life story: I lived my whole life in the same house, in Portimão. But my owner, an elderly woman, did not have the means to take care of me or the other dogs that lived in the same house. We were neglected and she never took us for walks. She wanted to give away all the dogs and that is how I ended up at the shelter in October 2023. My temperament: I am a very shy dog because I have never known another home or another life other than the one I described above. My owner did not care about me and I was never well socialized. I am not aggressive at all, but I tend to react to people and other dogs by barking. When they get close to me, I run away out of fear. I have never been used to wearing a collar or being touched, but the volunteers keep trying and now they can even take me for walks outside the shelter. I have already overcome some of my fears and I even sniff the bushes when I am taken for a walk. I would really like to be adopted by a kind and patient family that would teach me everything I need to learn.

Sou um cão muito tímido e gostaria muito de ser adotado por uma família carinhosa e paciente que me ensinasse tudo aquilo que me falta aprender. Data de nascimento: 23.11.2020 Porte: médio A minha história de vida: eu vivi toda a minha vida na mesma casa, em Portimão. Só que a minha dona, uma senhora já idosa, não tinha condições de cuidar de mim ou dos outros cães que viviam na mesma casa. Eramos negligenciados e ela nunca nos levou a passear. Ela quis dar todos os cães e foi assim que fui viver para o abrigo em outubro de 2023. O meu temperamento: sou um cão muito tímido pois nunca conheci outra casa ou outra vida daquela que descrevi acima. A minha dona não se interessava por mim e nunca fui bem socializado. Não sou nada agressivo, mas tendo a reagir às pessoas e outros cães ladrando. Quando chegam perto de mim, fujo, com medo. Nunca fui habituado a usar uma coleira ou a ser tocado, mas os voluntários insistem e agora até já me conseguem levar em passeios fora do abrigo. Já perdi alguns dos medos e até já cheiro os arbustos quando sou levado a passear. Gostaria muito de ser adotado por uma família carinhosa e paciente que me ensinasse tudo aquilo que me falta aprender.
