Fudge & Sprinkles

Female · Adult · 5 years

SOUTH YORKSHIRE Adoption fee £450 FUDGE 5 years old Female, mini (7kg), smooth, black and tan, Isabella dapple Neutered SPRINKLES 5 years old Female, mini (8kg), smooth, chocolate dapple Neutered Fudge and Sprinkles are a delightful pair of bonded dachshunds looking for a new home because their owner’s circumstances have changed and they are being left on their own for too long. They are a friendly and easy-going couple who are looking for a comfy sofa to snooze on, some interesting walks and lots of cuddles. Fudge and Sprinkles are sweet-natured dogs who love their family and are good with people, children and other dogs. Sprinkles is the more confident of the two, but wherever she goes, Fudge will be hot on her heels! Both dogs walk nicely on the lead outside the house and enjoy nothing more than a good sniff and explore. They have a warm, loud welcome for people visiting the home but will happily settle and are overall a confident and calm pair of dogs. Inside the house, both dogs are house-trained and love to snuggle up with their human at night time. Once they are settled, they should be happy to be left on their own for up to 4 hours on occasion. Both dogs are in excellent health. Please get in touch if you feel you are ready for the love, cuddles and adventures with these two lovely dogs. About Fudge & Sprinkles

What life with Fudge & Sprinkles looks like

Fudge & Sprinkles is a adult dog waiting at The Red Foundation in Pentlow Street.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fudge & Sprinkles, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fudge & Sprinkles?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Red Foundation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fudge & Sprinkles on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fudge & Sprinkles if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Red Foundation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fudge & Sprinkles already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fudge & Sprinkles isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Red Foundation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fudge & Sprinkles and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
