adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Fussel has found a home! His story: Fussel was found with his brother Faris motherless on the streets of Bistrita. Kind-hearted people dropped the two off at our shelter. Given their very good health condition, it was suspected that they had a home and were cruelly left on the streets. Both were lucky enough to be able to move into a foster home. Our little Fussel is only 3 months old and has his whole life ahead of him. Unlike his brother Faris, Fussel has the coat of a long-haired sheepdog. It feels so soft and silky that one wants to stroke it all the time. With his black fur, the white stripe on his face, and his cute ears that can't decide which way to turn, the little one is simply a looker. The little puppy understands how to wrap everyone around his little puppy fingers with his sweet puppy eyes. He is very open and social with people and also gets along well with other dogs. He loves nothing more than to play and wrestle with his brother Faris. Sometimes he can be a bit rough. After an eventful day, however, it's the biggest thing for him to snuggle with people. Fussel wishes for active people, preferably with older, steady children, who will go through thick and thin with him and want to experience many adventures, because he is no couch potato and wants to be physically and mentally engaged. It's certain that the lively Fussel will fit in well in his new home. Although he already lives in a foster home, he is not yet house-trained and not on a leash. But the little male dog is smart and wants to do everything right. Therefore, he will surely quickly understand what is expected of him. Fussel is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Do you have a heart for Fussel and can offer him the life he needs? Thank you Kerstin! With your nametag sponsorship, you've taken the first step in Fuzzle's new life! As of: 03.06. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

About Fussel

What life with Fussel looks like

Fussel is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fussel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fussel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fussel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fussel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fussel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fussel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fussel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
