How do I contact the shelter about Gacek?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gacek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Gacek if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Gacek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Gacek isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gacek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Gacek

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Gacek is a happy, outgoing and very people-friendly puppy who absolutely loves when something is happening. He loves playing with people. He eagerly comes for attention, joins in on the fun and enthusiastically takes advantage of every opportunity to play. And then? You can take a break... best of all, of course, close to a person. Gacek was born in June 2026. His mom weighs about 10 kg and reaches mid-calf, so everything suggests that he will also grow into a rather small dog. Small size, big personality — definitely! Gacek is ready for a move. He has been dewormed, vaccinated and chipped. Now he just needs his family. One that will want to play together, go for walks, learn, explore the world and all the daily, doggy adventures. Because Gacek is ready. Ball? Ready. Rope toy? Ready. Tail? Ready. Gacek? ALWAYS READY! All that's missing is a person who says: "Okay, Gacek. Let's go home!" If GACEK has stolen your heart, fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire before someone else does!

PL·Show original

A potem? Został odrobaczony, zaszczepiony i zachipowany. Teraz potrzebuje tylko swojej rodziny. Takiej, która będzie miała ochotę na wspólne zabawy, spacery, naukę, odkrywanie świata i całe mnóstwo codziennych, psich przygód. Bo Gacek jest gotowy. Piłeczka? Gotowa. Szarpak? Gotowy. Ogonek? Gotowy. Gacek? ZAWSZE GOTOWY! Brakuje tylko człowieka, który powie: „No dobra, Gacek. Jedziemy do domu!” Jeśli GACEK skradł Twoje serce, wypełnij ankietę przedadopcyjną, zanim zrobi to ktoś inny!

About Gacek

What life with Gacek looks like

Gacek is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.
