ZUBIK

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Meet Zubik - a unique dog born in 2022, weighing around 16 kg. Zubik is the definition of gentleness and calmness. Although he may seem a bit withdrawn at first, he is actually a boy who is very eager for closeness and just needs a moment to feel confident in a new environment. He is an extremely gentle dog, but a bit shy. Zubik does not impose his presence - he rather gently asks for attention and waits for a signal from a human that he is safe. Once he trusts, he becomes the most loyal companion who values calm touch and kind words above all else. Why will Zubik steal your heart? Youthful wisdom: He is only 4 years old - he is young, healthy and fit, but in his behavior there is a lot of composure and maturity. Ideal size: Weighing 16 kg, he is a medium-sized dog who will find himself well in both an apartment and a house with a garden. Gentleness above all: Zubik is a completely non-aggressive dog, gentle in contact and very devoted to his owner. Faithful nature: His shyness makes the bond he builds with a human exceptionally deep and based on real trust. We are looking for a peaceful and understanding home for Zubik, preferably in a quiet area where no one will put pressure on him. Zubik needs a guide who will patiently show him that the world is beautiful. He will repay it with the sincerest dog love!

Poznajcie Zubika – wyjątkowego psa urodzonego w 2022 roku, który waży około 16 kg. Zubik to psia definicja łagodności i spokoju.

About ZUBIK

What life with ZUBIK looks like

ZUBIK is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting ZUBIK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ZUBIK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ZUBIK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ZUBIK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ZUBIK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ZUBIK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know ZUBIK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
