Gangolf, m, Freigang, geb. 01-2021

Mixed Breed · Female

Gangolf is a found animal and so far no one has come forward claiming him. Poor Gangolf! He's a nice guy, but a bit shy at first. You have to make an effort to gain his trust, but not too much. But to be honest, most of us don't go out for a drink with complete strangers, so Gangolf is being reasonable by taking his time to see who he's dealing with. He wants to go to a home where he can stay forever and where people would miss him if he were to get lost. To make him easier to find, Gangolf has been chipped. He's also been vaccinated and neutered. A home in a quiet household, preferably with older, sensible children, would be very comfortable for him. He would like to have outdoor access again after getting used to it. Another cat is allowed, but not necessary, and he's fine with friendly cats in the neighborhood.

DE·Show original

Adopting Gangolf, m, Freigang, geb. 01-2021, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gangolf, m, Freigang, geb. 01-2021?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. TiNO — Tiere in Not Odenwald handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gangolf, m, Freigang, geb. 01-2021 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gangolf, m, Freigang, geb. 01-2021 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — TiNO — Tiere in Not Odenwald will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gangolf, m, Freigang, geb. 01-2021 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gangolf, m, Freigang, geb. 01-2021 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with TiNO — Tiere in Not Odenwald early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gangolf, m, Freigang, geb. 01-2021 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
