Hi, I'm García. I had a wandering existence before I was brought to the animal shelter. I don't remember much of that, but I'm guessing I was around two years old. It's pretty okay here, I get my meals (very important), cuddles, and a comfy bed. I miss my freedom to have more space and to roam around outside, but I've heard that with my new owner, I'll have plenty of room to do that. That's great! I had to get used to people again when I came here, but they're actually pretty nice. I love giving kisses and enjoying cuddles. Sometimes it gets too much for me, and then you might want to leave me alone for a bit. I get too many stimuli then. That will probably lessen as I get my own home and can find my own space easily. Roaming around outside and then plopping down on the couch with my boss at night sounds pretty good. I'm also active and enjoy playing with food with my new owner. She doesn't necessarily have to go outside, but she really likes having at least a closed balcony. Sunbathing is pretty great too.

Hoi ik ben García. Ik had een zwervend bestaan voor ik naar het asiel ben gebracht. Veel weet ik daar niet meer van, gok wel dat ik een jaar of twee ben. Het is best okay hier, krijg m’n maaltijd (heel belangrijk), knuffels, lekker mandje. Mis m’n vrijheid wel om meer ruimte te hebben en buiten rond te kunnen struinen, maar ik heb gehoord dat ik dat bij mn nieuwe baasje ruimte krijg om dat te doen. Gaaf! Ik moest wel weer een beetje wennen aan mensen toen ik hier kwam, maar eigenlijk zijn ze wel tof. Ik geef graag kopjes en geniet van een knuffel. Soms wordt het me even teveel en dan kan je me beter niet aanraken. Zoveel prikkels krijg ik dan. Dat zal vast minder worden als ik m’n eigen thuis krijg en ook makkelijk ruimte voor mezelf kan vinden. Lekker rond struinen buiten en dan ‘s avonds bij m’n baas op de bank ploffen is wel iets wat me goed in de oren klinkt. Verder ben ik actief en vind het leuk om voerspelletjes te gaan doen met m’n nieuwe baasje. Echt naar buiten hoeft ze niet maar ze vindt het wel heel fijn om op z’n minst een afgesloten balkon te hebben. Lekker zonnen is toch wel erg fijn.
