Gigi, a dog placed in front of a shopping center has been reported for many days, Gigi has settled in front of a shopping center in Szolnok. Many people passed by her, some disturbed her, others fed her and asked for help. We looked for a temporary foster for her, and now we have found one. We went there, but she was not there, then our volunteers searched for a long time, covered the surrounding area, and finally succeeded, they found her. Friendly, kind, female, very tired, she immediately fell asleep in the car. Born: 2015 05 01 weight: 12 kg height: about 40 cm Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, looking for a home! Contact: 06-30-731-8116 (if not picked up, we work, in this case write them a private message), or here via private message on Facebook.

Gigi, a bevásárló központ elé kirakott kutya Gigit már sok napja jelzik, Szolnokon egy bevásárló központ elé telepedett be. Sokan elmentek mellette, zavarták, voltak, akik etették őt, segítséget kértek. Kerestünk ideiglenes befogadót neki, most sikerült találnunk. Kimentünk, nem volt ott, majd önkénteseink sokáig keresték, bejárták a környéket, sikerült végre, megtalálták. Barátságos, kedves, szuka, nagyon fáradt volt, a kocsiban egyből bealudt. About Gigi

What life with Gigi looks like

Gigi is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Kéz a Mancsért in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gigi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gigi?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kéz a Mancsért handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gigi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gigi if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kéz a Mancsért will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Gigi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gigi isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kéz a Mancsért early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gigi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
