Gigi

Pomsky · Female · Young · 2 years

27-08-26 Gigi is a very worried lady who has come to us from a breeder and is understandably very nervous and uncomfortable around people. She can be considered a flight risk as she will do her best to get away when she feels worried, so she will need very slow and gentle introductions to the world around her. Gigi is going to need lots of TLC, patience and understanding from her new family as she learns that she is safe and begins to build her confidence. She will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home who she can look to and lean on for reassurance as she settles in. Gigi has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be patient and understanding as she learns about house training and walking on a lead. These things may take some time, and she will need a family who is happy to let her progress at her own pace. She will need a very secure garden with fences 6ft+. Gigi will need an adult-only home with ex-breeding experience, where her needs can be understood and she can receive the patience and reassurance she deserves. With time, love and the support of a confident canine companion, we hope Gigi will slowly learn to trust and become the happy, active girl we know she can be. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Gigi

What life with Gigi looks like

Gigi is a young adult pomsky dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gigi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gigi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gigi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gigi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gigi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gigi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gigi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
