Adopt Gizmo

Mixed Breed · Female

Gizmo came into foster after she was purchased from a breeder by someone that wasn't able to look after her properly. Thankfully, a family member took her out of that situation but wasn't able to keep her long term, and so reached out to us for help in finding her a new home. Gizmo was initially quite matted and dirty and fly strike was a real concern. She was therefore whisked off to the vet and clipped and cleaned. Since being in foster, Gizmo has been enjoying her food and is always eagerly awaiting her herbs and veg. She will do a little happy binky around her pen when she knows it's dinner time! She is a calm and friendly girl and although she doesn't like to be picked up, she does love a good stroke and fuss. Gizmo is around two years old and has been spayed and fully vaccinated so is ready to find her partner. She is used to being in an outdoor pen, but of course we will consider an indoor home if it’s right for her. We are looking for a home where she can be bonded with a neutered male bunny. Advice and ongoing support will be given to help with the bonding process. Please note, we only re-home to RWAF size recommended pens and enclosures and they must have 24 hour access to these minimum size requirements. Full details on this can be found here. If you think you may have the perfect space and partner for this gorgeous girl, we would love to hear from you. Please complete our adoption form. About Gizmo

What life with Gizmo looks like

Gizmo is a adult mixed breed animal waiting at RSPCA Stourbridge and District in United Kingdom.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Gizmo far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gizmo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gizmo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Stourbridge and District handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gizmo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gizmo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Stourbridge and District will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gizmo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gizmo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Stourbridge and District early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gizmo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
