Goblin

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Arrived from the 11th district, in poor keeping conditions Goblin is really a crazy looking dog: big head, short legs, long body and a fluffy Yorkie coat makes it truly unique. Very active dog, likes to play and run around. Gets along well with other dogs, mainly wants to play with them, although he barks at them on a leash. Especially friendly with people, even if his first reaction is barking, then he cuddles, plays and demands attention. Due to the terrier stubbornness we only recommend for beginners if they like challenges and take him to dog school where Goblin can learn a bit of discipline. A lively dog, who although not the easiest character, can be a good companion for anyone with a little attention.

BEKERÜLÉSÉNEK KÖRÜLMÉNYEI: XI. kerületből érkezett, rossz tartási körülmények Goblin egy igazán bolondos külsejű kutyus: nagy fej, rövid lábak, hosszú test és borzos yorki bunda teszi igazán egyedivé. Nagyon aktív kutyus, szeret játszani és szaladgálni. Más kutyákkal jól kijön, velük is főként játszani szeretne, bár pórázon ugatja őket.

About Goblin

What life with Goblin looks like

Goblin is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rex Kutyaotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Goblin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Goblin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rex Kutyaotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Goblin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Goblin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rex Kutyaotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Goblin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Goblin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rex Kutyaotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Goblin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
