Since then I have lived in this shelter, safe from what happened to me before. The people here in Vila do Conde are kind, and every day they give me the feeling of being safe. But I have not been outside these walls for a long time. Together with my brother "Gil" I spend my days in the free run. We know nothing else; we are there for each other. It is quiet here, and that is exactly what I need – calm, understanding and patience. New people still frighten me. I don't know what to expect from them, and sometimes I don't even know what to expect from myself. But deep inside I believe I could learn to trust someone. I just need time – a lot of time. ♥ A quiet home, perhaps somewhere in the countryside, would be my dream. Without children, without other animals – simply a place where I may slowly arrive. With someone who knows what fear feels like and shows me that life has much more to offer.
