Grot

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Grot… a little wanderer, who no one was looking for 💔 One day he was walking down the street. Alone. He followed our volunteer and thus began his way to safety... And hope for a home. 🏠🐕 Grot is a very young puppy with a huge heart. At first, a bit shy, as if afraid he would be let down again. But just a moment of patience, a warm word or a tasty treat is enough to see how he slowly opens up. And when he trusts... He gives himself completely ❤️ This is a dog who really wants to love and be loved. He walks nicely on a leash, gets along with other dogs - both males and females. In the animal shelter he's polite and calm, but we know he will truly blossom by the side of his person. Born in 2024. Vaccinated, microchipped. Ready to start a new chapter! Not anymore on the street, not in the animal shelter... But at home. Maybe it's you who will show him that the world can be good?

Grot… mały wędrowiec, którego nikt nie szukał 💔 Pewnego dnia szedł ulicą. Sam. Szedł za naszą wolontariuszka i tak rozpoczęła się jego droga do bezpieczeństwa… I nadziei na dom. 🏠🐕 Grot to młodziutki piesek o ogromnym sercu. Urodzony w 2024 roku.Zaszczepiony, zaczipowany. Gotowy, by zacząć nowy rozdział! Już nie na ulicy, nie w schronisku… Ale w domu.Może to właśnie Ty pokażesz mu, że świat potrafi być dobry? 📞 Kontakt w sprawie adopcji:Ola – 533 564 074Klaudia – 609 530 953

About Grot

What life with Grot looks like

Grot is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Grot, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Grot?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Grot on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Grot if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Grot already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Grot isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Grot and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
