adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Since September 2023, Guerrero has been waiting in his foster home! He has settled well in his foster home and fully integrated into the pack. He is a trusting and friendly male dog who loves to play and run all day. He also enjoys playing with his dog friends. However, he hasn't always had a good life. Old fractures in his hind legs were discovered, which have affected his mobility. Of course, he will be individually cared for and attention will be paid to his disability, and consideration will be given. Physiotherapy could improve his mobility. Guerrero is about 5 years old and has a height of around 30 cm. He can handle short distances on a leash and is active in the garden as he wishes and can. We cannot say anything about his tolerance or reaction to environmental stimuli like traffic, noise, and commotion. Guerrero lives in a quiet village with little excessive noise. He also has little contact with people and does not interact with dogs or cats. For the little Guerrero, we are looking for a loving home that shows him how wonderful life is. Due to his disability, he will not be able to be a long-distance runner anymore. He should also not have to climb many stairs. Physiotherapy could improve his mobility. Overall, with Guerrero, you get a small package full of love and joy with a disability that doesn't bother him and with some consideration, it will make his life easier. Our cuddly Guerrero is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He brings his EU pet passport with him and can be adopted after a positive assessment. A foster home would also be an option for him. Do you give Guerrero a life full of love? Many thanks, Daniela! You gave Guerrero his name! Date: 31.08.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Seit September 2023 wartet Guerrero in seiner Pflegestelle! Vielen Dank Daniela! Du hast Guerrero seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 31.08.2024

About Guerrero

What life with Guerrero looks like

Guerrero is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Guerrero, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Guerrero?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Guerrero on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Guerrero if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Guerrero already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Guerrero isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Guerrero and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
